At Cairns, the Rangers defeated Northeast 5-1in game one of the “A” Division final, as Cory Hall went the distance to earn the win.

The Rays swept both ends of the double header to advance to the “B” Division finals beginning Friday night.  In the early game at Leakos, the Rays edged the Tigers 5-4, and in the 9:00 nightcap at Cairns Field, the Rays prevailed 6-3.  Alec Saretzky pitched well in the complete game win, while Conrad Timmerman had a key 2-run double to provide the margin of victory.

At Dief, the Sabres eliminated the Angels with a 12-0 victory.  Caleb Williams pitched all five innings, while Noah Williams went 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBI.

At Leakos, the Rays and Tigers ended up in a 4-4 tie after seven innings.  The game will be replayed Thursday at Dief at 6:00 p.m.

At Dief, the Rangers eliminated the Rhinos with a 9-1 victory.  Cory Hall went the distance for the win, while Justin Whiteside had four hits to lead the way offensively.

At Leakos, Northeast edged the Brewers 3-2 to force a third game in their series.  Devin Gerwing had the complete game win, while Lane Gerwing had a walk-off two-out double in the bottom of the seventh.  Game three will be Thursday at 8:00 at Cairns.

At Leakos, the Sabres downed the Angels 8-3 in game one of their semi-final series.  Justen Tehse went 6 1/3 innings to earn the win.  Paige Thompson had a key hit, and scored a pair of runs for the Sabres.

At Leakos, the Brewers defeated Northeast 9-6 in game one of their series, as Brady Fornwald went the distance for the win.  Derek Walters had 3 RBI to pace the Brewers offensively.

At Stonebridge South, the Sabres eliminated the Cannons width a 14-9 victory.  Jarred Stratechuk was 4 for 4 with two triples, while Justen Tehse had a 3-run inside the park homer.  The Sabres advance to play the Angels on Monday in the semi-finals.

At Leakos, the Tigers defeated the Cardinals 8-2 in game three of their series.  John Deibert went the distance to earn the win, striking out 12 along the way.  Brian Bauer had a pair of hits for the Tigers.  The Tigers advance to play the Rays in the next round beginning Wednesday.

At Dief, in game one of the “A” semis, the Rangers beat the Rhinos 11-1.  Darren Johnson was the winning pitcher, while Cory Hall hit a grand slam for the Rangers.  Jesse Renneberg also homered for the Rangers.

At Dief, the Rangers advanced to the semi-finals with a 10-0 victory over the Selects.  Cory Hall went the distance for the win, while Garret Olver hit a 3 run homer for the Rangers.  The Rangers advance to play the Rhinos, while the Brewers will face Northeast in the other semi final.

At Stonebridge North, the Angels swept their series with the Reds with a 4-2 victory in game two of the series.  Jacob Hall threw a complete game with 7 K’s, while Kyle Bregenser picked up three RBI.

At Leakos, the Rays eliminated the Expos with an11-6 victory in eight innings.  The Rays were down 6-1 in the sixth inning but stormed back to tie it in the seventh before tallying five more in the top of the eights to secure the win.  Alec Saretzky pitched all 8 innings for the win.

At Dief, the Cannons and Sabres played into the dark night, but couldn’t resolve their issues.  The game ended in a 10-10 tie, and will be replayed in its entirety on Wednesday at Stonebridge South.  

At Stonebridge South, the Cardinals blanked the Tigers 4-0 to even their series at a game apiece.  Derek Marshall went the distance to earn the win, while Shawn Gusikoski led the way offensively with a pair of triples and three RBI.  Game 3 of the series will be Wednesday at Leakos.

In the opening game of their series at Leakos, the Angels defeated the Reds 12-2, as Jason Blommaert picked up the win.  Russ Schneider and Kyle Bregenser each had three hits for the Angels.

At Stonebridge North, the Brewers edged the Thunder 6-5 to sweep their series.  Owen Knight was the winning pitcher and Josh Brown picked up the save.

At Stonebridge South, the Selects forced a third game in their series by defeating the Rangers 7-3.  Dave Cooke went the distance to earn the win.  Game 3 will be Tuesday at Dief.

At Dief, Northeast overcame a 5-1 sixth inning deficit to eliminate the Armadillos by a score of 6-5.  Kalen Senecal drove in the game tying run before Tyrell Nicklen got the game winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh.

At Leakos, the Rhinos became the first team to advance to the second round with a comeback 9-5 extra inning victory over the Rockies.  The Rhinos scored four times in the top of the seventh to tie the game, then four more in the eighth to seal the victory.  

At Dief, the Tigers downed the Cardinals 9-2 in game one of their series.  Jamie Jantzen went the distance, striking out seven.  Chris Cozac had a single, two doubles and four RBI while Regan Sproule, Sean Lockwood and Shane Krupp each had a pair of hits.

At Stonebridge South, the Rays downed the Expos 6-3, with Matt Ritchie picking up the win and Tyler Vanneste recording the save.

At Stonebridge North, the Sabres beat the Cannons 7-3, with James Owens delivering the go-ahead triple in the sixth inning.  Justen Tehse pitched five innings for the win, while Jarred Stratechuk came on for the save.

At Stonebridge North, the Rhinos shut out the Rockies 6-0 behind a complete game from Ryan Usher, who struck out 8 and had two hits.

At Leakos, the Brewers downed the Thunder 6-5 in walk-off fashion from a Derek Walters game winning RBI.  Brady Fornwald threw a complete game, and started a key bases loaded double play in the top of the seventh.

At Dief, the Rangers doubled the Selects 6-3, scoring three runs in the sixth inning.  Mike Henschel went the distance for the win, while Aaron Smith had three hits, including two triples.

At Stonebridge South, Northeast broke out to a 6-1 lead on their way to a 9-5 victory over the Armadillos.

After nine weeks with only one night rained out, the rain played havoc on the final night of the regular season……

The Angels and Skunks managed to complete five innings at Leakos.  After two rain delays, the Angels prevailed 8-2 over the Skunks.  

In other news in the “B” division, the Sabres were awarded fifth place over the Expos by virtue of a coin flip conducted by league President Justin Whiteside.  Therefore, the final standings and playoff pairings are as follows:

The Angels-Reds series will begin Thursday, while the other three series open Wednesday.  Complete schedule and diamond allocations will be posted shortly.

At Dief, the Selects overcame a 3-run deficit to defeat the Armadillos 7-5.  The winning blow was a two-run homer by Dave Cooke in the sixth inning.  Tyler Matheson earned the win with three innings of relief.

At Leakos, the Brewers downed the Rhinos 13-3. AJ Speir was the winning pitcher.  Parker Robb had a triple while Mark Dodds scored three times for the Brewers.

At Leakos, the Angels kept their first place hopes alive with a 6-4 victory over the Cannons.  Kyle McCarty was the winning pitcher, while Kyle Bregenser came on to record the save, in addition to picking up three hits.  Russ Schneider had three RBI.

At Dief, the ball was flying all over the yard as the Rangers downed the Rhinos 19-6.  Ryan Mazzei and Mitch McNally homered for the Rhinos while Shawn Bourassa went deep for the Rangers.  Mike Henschel was the winning pitcher.  Bourassa, Henschel and Dave Pura each had four RBI for the Rangers.

At Stonebridge North, the Cardinals defeated the Reds 15-10.  Derek Marshall was the winning pitcher, while Declan Woloshyn closed it out in his first relief appearance.

At Leakos, the Thunder downed the Rockies 10-3.  Adam Knaus went the distance to earn the win and also had a couple of hits.  Mack Desautels went 2 for 3 with three RBI.

At Dief, the Cannons beat Hanley 9-5.  Devin Collins pitched five innings for the win, while Josh Kerpan came on to close it out.

At Stonebridge South, it was the Angels over the Expos 7-4 in eight innings.  Jason Blommaert earned the win in relief, while Kyle Bregenser had three hits.  Ben Copeland had the game winning RBI in the eighth inning.

At Leakos, Northeast split their final double header of the season, winning the first game 10-2 over the Selects behind a complete game from Devin Gerwing.  In the nightcap, the Rhinos prevailed 7-4 over Northeast, with Ryan Elmy pitching five innings for the win before Grant Alexander came on to record the save.  Northeast will finish fifth and meet either the Rhinos or Armadillos in the opening round of playoffs next week.

At Leakos, the Armadillos defeated the Thunder 4-3, as Josh Mattern had the walk-off RBI in the bottom of the seventh.  Egan Weiler went the distance to earn the win.

At Dief, the Angels downed the Reds 14-2.  Jacob Hall pitched five innings for the win, while Dan Fortosky had five RBI.  Kyle Bregenser and Tanner Baht each had three RBI.

At Stonebridge South, the Rangers defeated the Brewers 6-3, as Darren Johnson had the complete game victory.  Brady Waldenburg and Evan Froc each had three hits for the Rangers.

At Dief, the Sabres downed the Sandlot Sluggers 15-7.  Jarred Stratechuk went 4 for 5 with a homer, while Caleb Williams was the winning pitcher.

At Stonebridge North, the Selects beat the Rockies 7-1, as Kody Hartung went the distance for the win.

At Leakos, in a first place battle, the Tigers beat the Rays 6-2.  Jamie Jantzen was the winning pitcher, while Chris Baird had a clutch two-RBI single in the bottom of the sixth.

At Stonebridge North, the Selects edged the Thunder 5-4 in eight innings.  Kevin Crossman had three hits for the Selects, including the walk-off RBI in the bottom of the eighth.

At Stonebridge North, the Cannons defeated the Rods 11-1.  Terry McNabb was the winning pitcher.  Carson George had an inside the park home run for the Cannons.

At Dief, the Cardinals overcame a 7-6 deficit by scoring seven runs in the 7th inning to beat Hanley 13-7.  Jack Gherasim went the distance to earn the win, while Shawn Gusikoski homered for the Cards.

At Leakos, the Expos downed the Skunks 13-2.

At Dief, Northeast got back into the win column by splitting their double header.  In the first game, the Thunder defeated Northeast 6-1, as Colin Pylypow went the distance to earn the win, also collecting two hits and driving in a pair.  In the nightcap, Northeast broke out the lumber, hitting three home runs (two by Devin Gerwin and one by Jordan Wouters) on their way to an 18-9 victory over the Armadillos.  

At Stonebridge South, the Cannons defeated the Cardinals 3-1.  Brock Thiessen picked up the complete game win.

At STonebridge North, the Sabres downed Hanley 6-1.  Justin Tehse was the winning pitcher, and helped his own cause with a pair of hits.

At Leakos, the Sandlot Sluggers kept their playoff hopes alive with a 14-5 victory over the Reds.  Austin Trakalo struck out 8 in the complete game win.

The league swung back into action with four games tonight .

At Leakos, the Expos and Sabres played two extra innings but couldn’t resolve anything so the game goes into the books as a 7-7 tie.

At Stonebridge South, the Cardinals and Cannons also went into extra innings tied 1-1.  The Cardinals exploded for six runs in the top of the eighth to claim the 7-2 victory.  Derek Marshall pitched all 8 innings to earn the win.

At Stonebridge North, the Rays downed the Reds 9-1.  Matt Ritchie was the winning pitcher.

At Dief, the Angels defeated the Sandlot Sluggers 7-3.  Jason Blommaert pitched six innings to earn the win, while Bud Jorgensen went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI.

At Dief,  the Brewers defeated the Rockies 11-7.  Owen Night was the winning pitcher while Tyson Appel earned the save.  Adam Shepard and Logan Knight each drove in a pair of runs.

At Leakos,  the Rhinos downed the Selects 7-4.  Mike Carnrike came out of retirement to pitch four strong innings before Ryan Usher came on for the win.  

The league now breaks until Monday.  Enjoy the long weekend.

At Leakos, the Tigers defeated Hanley 16-1 behind the strong right arm of Jamie Jantzen.

At Dief, the Sandlot Sluggers downed the Skunks 5-3, as Adam Osczewski was the winning pitcher.  Gary Suarez chipped in two hits for the Sluggers.

At Stonebridge North, the Rangers beat the Rhinos 12-2, with Darren Johnson pitching five innings for the win, while Aaron Smith had three hits for the Rangers.

At Stonebridge South, the Thunder topped the Armadillos 8-6.  Jaxon Raffey was the winning pitcher, with Tommy Bollefer coming on to record the save.  Jordan Gerwing and Adam Knaus each had a pair of hits for the Thunder.

At Dief, the Cards nipped the Reds 7-6 in walk-off fashion………Kyle Rathgeber doubled three times for the Cardinals.

At Stonebridge South, Northeast split their twin bill, winning the first game 4-2 over the Rockies as Logan Fast threw a complete game with 9 strikeouts.    In the nightcap, the Rangers overcame a five run deficit in the seventh inning to defeat Northeast 15-13.  The winning blow for the Rangers was a bases loaded triple from Kyle Rivett.

At Leakos, the Rays scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning on their way to a 6-1 victory over the Expos.   Nick Vogel got the win, with Tyler Vanneste coming on to earn the save.

At Stonebridge South, the Rhinos defeated the Selects 12-7.  Riley Carl threw a complete game, and also went 3 for 4 at the plate.  Shane Manum had two hits and 3 RBI in his Rhinos debut.

At Stonebridge South, the Armadillos scored two runs on an errant pickoff attempt in the top of the seventh to nip the Rockies 8-7.  Chad Mukanik picked up the win with two innings of relief.

At Leakos, the Sabres defeated the Tigers 6-4.  Justin Tehse pitched five innings to earn the win, while Jarred Stratechuk came on to record the save.

At Stonebridge North, the Cannons blanked the Skunks 8-0.  Brock Thiessen went the distance to earn the win.

At Dief , the Rangers edged the Brewers 5-4.  Darren Johnson went six innings for the win before Corey Hall came in for the save.  Andy Pawlovich had the game winning RBI in the sixth inning..

At Stonebridge North, the Cannons downed the Sandlot Sluggers 7-2, as Vince Shivak picked up the win.

At Stonebridge South, the Hanley Sox edged the Expos 11-10.  Matt Englot was the winning pitcher, with Sam Brown coming on to record the save.

For the second week in a row, Northeast swept both ends of their double header at Dief, coming from behind in the opener to defeat the Thunder 14-7, thanks to a pair of home runs from Devin Gerwing.

In the nightcap, Northeast beat the Selects 12-2.

At Stonebridge North, the Tigers defeated the Cardinals 1-0 as John Delbert threw a complete game shutout, striking out 8 along the way.

At Stonebridge South, the Rhinos downed the Thunder 13-9.  Grant Alexander pitched 5 and a third for the win with 8 strikeouts .  He also had an inside the park home run, a triple, five RBI and scored a pair of runs………other than that, he didn’t do much.

At Leakos, the Armadillos scored 8 runs in the fifth inning……….but it wasn’t enough, as the Brewers scored five in the top of the seventh to earn the 13-8 victory.  Owen Knight picked up the win win relief of Brady Fornwald, who threw four shutout innings…….

At Dief, the Rangers beat the Selects 12-2.  Mike Henschel picked up the win, while Jon Equina and Dave Pura each had 3 RBI.

The game at Dief between the Rockies and Thunder could not be completed, due to an umpire injury and will be rescheduled.

At Stonebridge North, the Expos defeated the Skunks 7-3.

At Leakos, the expansion Rays remained the league’s only undefeated team with an 8-5 victory over the Sandlot Sluggers.  Matt Ritchie was the winning pitcher, while Jayden Steele drove in the winning runs with a double.

At Stonebridge North, the Rangers brought the thunder, erasing a 4-3 deficit by scoring 11 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to claim a 14-4 victory just before the lightning started.  Darren Johnson was the winning pitcher in relief.  Jesse Renneberg had two hits and four RBI.

The game at Leakos between the Brewers and Rhinos was called due to thunder and lightning before it became an official game, and will be rescheduled.

At Dief, the Cannons downed the Tigers 4-2.

At Dief, the Sabres downed Hanley 11-4.  Jared Stratechuk went 4 for 4 at the plate, and also pitched three innings, striking out six.

At Stonebridge South, the Expos defeated the Sandlot Sluggers 13-6.  Eight out of the nine hitters had at least one RBI for the Expos.

At Stonebridge North, the Rays remained unbeaten, dealing the Cards a 7-4 defeat on the strength of a 3-run sixth inning..  Tyler Vanneste picked up the win in relief.

At Leakos, the Reds beat the Skunks 13-9.  Tyler Froehlick was the winning pitcher, going 6 and a third.  Taylor Sharp came on to strike out the last two batters for the save.

At Dief, Northeast swept both ends of their double header.  In the opener, they beat the Rockies 10-4.  In the late game, they were down 3-2 to the Rhinos in the bottom of the seventh with two outs when Tyrell Pompu hit a two-run walkoff single to give Northeast the 4-3 victory.

At Stonebridge South, the Brewers defeated the Selects 5-1.  Tyson Appel went six innings, striking out 9 to earn the win.  Matt Schule came on to pitch the seventh.  Josh Brown scored two runs for the Brew Crew.

At Stonebridge North, the Cannons downed the Sabres 6-4, as Vince Shivak picked up the win.

At Leakos, it was the Hanley Sox over the Angels 8-2.  Curtis Olay went the distance to earn the win, and also picked up four hits to lead the way offensively.

At Dief, the Armadillos picked up their fifth win, nipping the Rockies 5-4 in a game that was close throughout.  Chad Mukanik picked up his fourth win of the year, with three innings of scoreless relief, while Egan Weiler had the game winning RBI in the top of the seventh.

At Leakos, the Cards defeated the Sandlot Sluggers 5-2.  Derek Marshall went six innings to earn the win, while Kyle Rathgeber pitched the seventh to record the save.

The game at Stonebridge between Northeast and the Brewers was postponed due to wet grounds.

At Leakos, the Expos improved to 2-0, defeating the Cardinals 16-13 in a see-saw game.

At Dief, the Sandlot Sluggers also won their second game by edging the Sabres 4-3.  Alex Osczevski was the winnng pitcher.

At Stonebridge North, the Rhinos doubled up on the Thunder 6-3.  Ryan Usher had a two-run single to give the Rhinos the lead, then came on to record the save.  Blair Jones went 3-3 and scored a pair of runs for the Rhinos.

At Leakos, in a rematch of last year’s league final, the Brewers edged the Rangers 4-3.  Brady Fornwald, Owen Knight and AJ Speirs split the pitching duties for the Brewers, while Taylor Robb drove in the winning run.

At Dief, the newly established Rays won their first league game by defeating the Cannons 7-5 in an extra inning.  Tyler Vanneste came on to pitch in the fourth inning and picked up the win in relief.

At Stonebridge South, the Angels downed the Skunks 14-6.  Matt Fellwock was the winning pitcher, while Bud Jorgensen had a pair of hits and Tanner Baht scored three times.

At Leakos, the first-year Rockies won their opener with a 5-4 victory in a back and forth affair over the Rhinos.   Conor Prosofsky was the winning pitcher.

At Stonebridge North, the Sandlot Sluggers downed the Hanley Sox 6-4, as Erik Trakalo picked up the win.

At Stonebridge South, the Armadillos scored the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to nip the Thunder 4-3.  Chad Mukanik earned the win in relief with Jonathan Fenske picking up the walk-off RBI with a bases loaded infield single.

At Dief, the Expos defeated the Reds 9-5.

In tonight’s season opener, the Cardinals downed the Sabres 12-2 in five innings at Stonebridge South.  The winning pitcher was Derek Marshall, who threw four shutout innings.
